The Secret to Getting Better - The Equity Podcast 038

During our On Ramp Program for new members we discuss a few concepts that we find important when starting at Equity. One of those concepts is MCI or Mechanics, Consistency, then Intensity. The primary context in the On Ramp is for movement in the gym.

Consistency beats intensity every time. No matter what you are trying to do going 4 days a week for 30 minutes is BETTER than going crazy hard for 2 hours once a week. If you want to get stronger for pull-ups, parenting, improve your snatch, learn an instrument consistency is better than intensity. Getting the time and reps is more important than going hard in the paint.

“Persistence without insight will achieve the same result.” — The Armorer

Consistency without good mechanics, self-awareness, self-reflection, being coachable is not worth much. Think of driving, you drive everyday but are you a world class driver.

What do you think?

Thank you for checking this out I really appreciate you.

Cheers,
Berek
