Schedule an Appointment with Yourself

Are you constantly starting and stopping the gym? Do you have a goal to get off medications, lose 10 pounds before that trip to the beach, be able to carry your kids on your shoulders? If you truly want to reach your goals schedule dates with the gym.

On Sunday set aside some time to plan your week. Find the time in the schedule and make an appointment with yourself at the gym. You are the most important person in your life so you can't miss this appointment.

Your schedule is constantly changing every week, so sit down and get it squared away for the week.

-- Example
I like to workout at the 5:30 pm class.

My son has soccer practice on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:45 pm.

The husband and I have a date night planned for Friday.

Monday and Wednesday I will workout at 5:30 pm like usual but Thursday I workout at 6 am. It is not my favorite time to workout but I want to make the time. So Wednesday night I will make sure to do some extra prep so I am ready to go on Thursday.

This planning every week helps build accountability and will help reduce the stress from doing it last minute.

Making change is not easy but putting time ascend to workout, have focused time on that work project, family time, etc. will help ensure you are putting the priorities in your life in the forefront instead of in the background.

Be intentional with your time. Have a plan and time block the important things in your life.

Cheers,
Berek

P.S. This is one area I have been working on recently, setting time in my calendar for the important things in my life. If you are interested in learning more about time blocking check out The One Thing.
